Introducing Kay Sharbono

Faithful Crossings is excited to announce the addition of Kay Sharbono to the group. Kay replaces Curtis and Tammy Sumner’s daughter, Lauren Sumner, whose sweet harmonies gave Faithful Crossings the blend that they have become known for.  “These were not easy shoes to fill,” states group leader, Tammy Sumner, "Lauren has a super-wide vocal range and, of course, she's our baby girl and we'll miss her, but we feel that Kay will truly be a great fit for the group!"

Kay is certainly no stranger to Southern Gospel music.  She grew up in Southern Missouri and has fond memories of singing songs in the old Heavenly Highways Hymnal at her little country church.  According to her, it’s still the best song book available.  Kay learned to sing harmony at an early age while travelling and singing with her parents, the Roberson Family Singers.  Kay has sang in various groups over the years, and has had the opportunity to share the stage with such legends in the industry as the Mark Trammel Quartet and the Blackwood Brothers.  Kay loves the old fashioned southern gospel and bluegrass sounds which bring together beautiful harmonies, and that makes her a great fit for Faithful Crossings! She is a very talented songwriter and is currently working on a solo CD that will be available at Faithful Crossings concerts in 2021!

Kay and her husband, LeRoy live in Smithville, MO, and enjoy spending time with their family- especially their new grandbaby!  Kay teaches 4th grade, and when not singing with Faithful Crossings, is involved with her worship team at her home church.

Faithful Crossings has some exciting things in store for 2021!  Be listening for a new radio single in January with guest vocalist, Karen Peck Gooch and multiple joint concerts are in the works with Jason CrabbAaron Wilburn, and Johnathan Bond!  Plus, we hope to get back in the studio to complete the work on our new hymn CD!
